Trisura Group Ltd. (Trisura) is a property and casualty insurer focused on specialty commercial insurance lines in Canada and the U.S. Active since 2001, Trisura was spun-off from Brookfield Asset Management Inc. in 2017 and has operated independently since. Trisura has a long operating history in Canada, especially in surety insurance, and it holds a growing market position in other specialty insurance lines. Trisura has also built a sizable U.S. fronting program business where it partners with distributors and reinsurers to underwrite commercial insurance through various specialty insurance programs and cedes most of the risk to the reinsurance market.
