DBRS Morningstar published a commentary titled, “European Structured Credit Transactions' Risk Exposure to Coronavirus (COVID-19) Effect”.

Our European Structured Credit team identified two segments that have a high exposure to borrowers that are likely to face credit deterioration as a result of the economic slowdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic:

--European small and medium-size collateralised loan obligations (CLOs) and middle market/direct lending CLOs; and
--Synthetic corporate risk transfer transactions.

This commentary outlines the consideration for European Structured Credit transactions rated by DBRS Morningstar. For more details, please read “European Structured Credit Transactions' Risk Exposure to Coronavirus (COVID-19) Effect” available at www.dbrsmorningstar.com.
