DBRS Morningstar Discontinues Ratings on Ardmore Securities No.1 DAC

DBRS Ratings GmbH (DBRS Morningstar) discontinued its ratings on the Class A, Class B, and Class C notes (together, the Notes) issued by Ardmore Securities No.1 DAC (the Issuer).

The discontinuations reflect the full repayment of the Notes on the 15 November 2021 payment date, following the noteholders’ consent for an early redemption. Prior to their repayment, the ratings and the outstanding principal balance of the Notes were as follows:

-- Class A notes rated at AAA (sf) with an outstanding principal balance of EUR 124,842,738.77
-- Class B notes rated at AA (high) (sf) with an outstanding principal balance of EUR 97,561,000.00
-- Class C notes rated at AA (sf) with an outstanding principal balance of EUR 85,366,000.00

The principal methodology applicable to the ratings is the “Master European Structured Finance Surveillance Methodology” (8 February 2021). In DBRS Morningstar’s opinion, a discontinued-repaid rating action does not warrant the application of the entire principal methodology, as the bonds have been repaid in full.

The sources of data and information used for these ratings includes investor reports provided by Ulster Bank Ireland DAC.

DBRS Morningstar did not rely upon third-party due diligence in order to conduct its analysis.

At the time of the initial rating, DBRS Morningstar was supplied with third-party assessments. However, this did not impact the rating analysis.

DBRS Morningstar considers the data and information available to it for the purposes of providing these ratings to be of satisfactory quality.

DBRS Morningstar does not audit or independently verify the data or information it receives in connection with the rating process.

The last rating action on this transaction took place on 23 April 2021, when DBRS Morningstar confirmed its ratings on the Class A notes at AAA (sf) and upgraded the ratings on the Class B and Class C notes to AA (high) (sf) and AA (sf), respectively.
