DBRS Morningstar Publishes Final Airport Methodology

DBRS Morningstar finalized its “Rating Airports” methodology (the Methodology).

The Methodology presents the criteria for which government-owned or privately owned airport ratings in the United States, Canada, and Western Europe are assigned and/or monitored.

The Methodology supersedes the prior version (which was named “Rating Canadian Airport Authorities”) published on April 7, 2021, and is effective as of May 25, 2022.

No comments were received during the request for comment period, which ended May 19, 2022. As outlined in the press release dated April 19, 2022, this update is not expected to change any existing DBRS Morningstar ratings or trends.

All comments received during the request for comment period have been published to the DBRS Morningstar website, except in cases where confidentiality is requested by the respondent.
